“Satan hindered us” (1 Thessalonians 2:18)
Satan hinders saints. It’s to be expected, just as night follows day, so get used to it. He’ll try to stumble and destroy you, attacking when you least expect it. “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world” (1 Peter 5:8-9).

Don’t be overconfident. “Let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall” (1 Corinthians 10:12). Don’t say, "I’ve walked consistently; no man can challenge my integrity", for your virtue will yet be tried; Satan will direct his minions against the very virtue you boast of. Remember, your flesh is still open to persuasion.

There’s never a revival of religion without a revival of Satanic opposition. As soon as Ezra and Nehemiah began to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, Sanballat and Tobiah were dispatched by Satan to hinder them, so don’t think it odd when you are assailed on every side while God rebuilds your life.

“We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;  persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed - always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body” (2 Corinthians 4:8-10).
