“Your Redeemer” (Isaiah 54:5)

Christ, the Redeemer, is yours forever. All the offices of Christ are held on your behalf. He’s your King, Priest and Prophet. Whenever you learn a new title for Him, He’s yours under that title as well. The Shepherd's staff, the Father's rod, the Captain's sword, the Priest's miter, the Prince's scepter, the Prophet's mantle, all are yours. Every office of Christ is used for your benefit, and there’s no privilege He won’t employ in your defense. His fulness of Godhead is your unstoppable, inexhaustible, powerhouse.

His manhood also, is yours in all its perfection. Christ communicates the spotless virtue of a sinless character; to you He gives the ultimate substitution of a devoted life; on you He bestows the reward purchased by His obedient submission and perfect service to the Father. He makes the glowing white garment of his life your covering beauty; the glittering virtues of his character your jewels; and the faultless humility of his death your boast and glory.

He gives you His life on Earth as an example of how a perfect man navigates through every trial without sin. He gives you His cross as an example of how to suffer according to the will of God. All His thoughts, emotions, actions, utterances, miracles, and intercessions, were for you. He trod the road of sorrow on your behalf, and has handed over to you the full benefit of the labors of His life.

He’s now as much yours as he was at any other time, and He’s not ashamed to acknowledge He’s your Savior, though He is the King of kings, and Lord of lords. Christ everywhere and in every way is your Christ, forever to enjoy. This is what it means, and so much more, to be IN Christ.
