“The Amen” (Revelation 3:14)

The word “Amen” means “truly”. When you say “amen”, you agree that a prayer is completely true. When The Apostle John calls Christ “the Amen”, he identifies Him as perfect Truth and Light, the only Way to the Father (John 14:6); the “package deal” of God’s dealings with man. Christ said, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last" (Revelation 22:13). The Apostle Paul said of Christ, “all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen” (2 Corinthians 1:19).

You can trust Christ when He said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light" (Matthew 11:28-30).

If you come to Him, you’ll experience rest in your soul. He promised, “My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:26). Oh, poor, broken heart, if you come to Him, He’ll be the “Amen" IN you, and you’ll experience peace and love that passes understanding (Ephesians 3:19)

Christ said, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him” (John 14:22). He is the Amen, the final Word in God’s dealings with you: your Husband, never seeking a divorce; your Friend, sticking closer than a brother; your Shepherd, with you at all times; your Help and your Deliverer; your Castle and your High Tower; the Horn of your strength, your confidence, your joy, your all in all, and yes, your Amen.
