“Have faith in God” (Mark 11:22)
Here’s how you can be transformed from being barely saved to a productive servant of Christ: 1) Die to yourself (Romans 6:11). If you consider yourself as dead, you won’t be afraid to do whatever Christ asks you to do (Romans 6:11). 2) Submit unconditionally to God (James 4:7). If you hold anything back, it will become a stumbling block, and a constant reminder that you’re not entirely given to Christ. 3) Walk in the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:25). Always remember, the worst thing that can happen if you obey God is you die and go to heaven.
Are you tired of walking the fence? Wouldn’t you rather enjoy your relationship with Christ instead of constantly keeping Him at a distance because of the fear He might ask you to do something you’re not willing to do? The secret to an overcoming life is being sure of God’s will. The assurance that something is God’s will is necessary before you can obey with faith. Once you’re sure something is God’s will, you can do what He asks because you know, without a doubt, He’ll take care of the problems that result from whatever He asks you to do. The ultimate example of this is how Christ dealt with fear when he prayed, "O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will" (Matthew 26:39). Notice it wasn’t a sin to want and ask God for an alternative path. But once Christ knew drinking the cup was definitely His Father’s will, He obeyed.
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: ‘For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter’. Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Romans 8:35-38).
