“They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house” (Psalms 36:8)

The queen of Sheba was amazed at the way King Solomon took care of His subjects. She marveled at “the food on his table, the seating of his servants” (1Kings 10:5). This was nothing compared to God’s provision for His people throughout history. While Solomon was given wisdom by God (1 Kings 3:12), God is the source of all wisdom. While Solomon provided temporary blessings, God provides eternal Life.

“We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:28-32).

“Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!” (Romans 11:33). The saint who understands these things can overcome any temptation and survive any season. “I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:10-13).

"No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon” (Matthew 6:24). “Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls - Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation” (Habakkuk 17-18).
