“He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels” (Mark 8:38)

Are you ready for the return of Christ? The context of the Scripture tonight is “Whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels" (Mark 8:38). Saints must witness for Christ or wonder if they’re even saved. “For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:10). The Apostles taught that acknowledging Christ, even if it resulted in persecution and death, was essential. “Rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy” (1 Peter 4:12-13).

Does this sound like a description of you? Are you One with Christ in His suffering? “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it” (Matthew 16:24-25). “Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate. Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach. For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come” (Hebrews 13:12-14).

It's never too late to tell your family and friends how Christ has changed your life. “Do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you” (1 Peter 3:14-15). “Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory” (Colossians 3:2-4).
