“To Him be the glory both now and forever” (2 Peter 3:18)
Heaven will resound with the praises of Jesus for all eternity! He will be the focus of all creation, for “All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made” (John 1:3). This is the One who is “Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end” (Isaiah 9:6-7).
His cross and resurrection purchased the saints, so it’s no wonder the 24 Elders of Heaven throw their crowns at His feet and proclaim, “You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created" (Revelation 4:11).
You’ll soon join them and glorify Christ for eternity, but are you glorifying Him now?
Will you pray this now? "Lord, help me to glorify You; I’m poor, help me to glorify You by being content with what You’ve given me; I’m sick, help me to Honor You by having patience; I have talents, help me to praise You by spending them to build Your Kingdom; I have time, Lord, help me to redeem it, so I can serve You; I have a heart to feel, Lord, let my heart feel Your unconditional love, and glow with unquenchable affection for You; I have a mind to think, Lord, help me to think of You and for You”.
“You put me in this world for something, Lord, show me what that is, and help me to work out my life-purpose: I can’t do much, but as the widow put in her two mites, which was all she had to live on, so, Lord, I cast my time and eternity into Your treasury; I’m Yours; take me, and enable me to glorify You now, in all that I say, in all that I do, and with all I have. Amen”.
