“Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7)

There’s no better way to forget your troubles than to remember, “He cares for me!” Don’t dishonor your relationship with Christ by keeping things from Him. Admit you can’t handle everything yourself. That’s why is says, “Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God” before it says “casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:6-7).

He may want you to realign your priorities. Perhaps that’s what prevents you from asking Him for help. Remember saving faith is submitting to Christ as Lord of ALL. The best advice I can give you is “lie passive in God's hands, And know no will but His".

“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience” (James 1:2-3). The Greek word translated “patience” is hupomeno, a compound word made up of “hupo”, which means “under”, and “meno”, which means “abide” or “stay”. Hupo + Meno = “Stay Under”. The saint stays under the Lordship of Christ when trials come because he knows by faith God has a purpose in the trial.

He may want you to give up things that keep you from Him. What a peaceful life you would have if you gave up the drama of striving after the things of the world. With a little oil in the cruse, and a handful of meal in the barrel, Elijah outlived the famine, and you will do the same. If God cares for you, why do you need to worry? Can you trust Him for your soul, and not for your body? He’ll never refuse to bear your burdens. He’ll never faint under their weight. Come, then, and leave all your concerns in the hand of God.

“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble” (Matthew 6:33-34).
