“Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18)

 Grow in every grace, especially the grace that enables every other grace to grow – faith. Believe the promise That Christ is in and with you at all times. Grow in consistency, depending on Him when you’re tempted to fear or despair. Grow in love, so more of your thoughts and feelings, your words and actions can be refined by the filter of His love. Grow in humility, so as you decrease, you’ll be “renewed in the spirit of your mind ... in true righteousness and holiness” (Ephesians 4:23-24). 

 Salvation is not a one-time event. If you’re saved, “walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy” (Colossians 1:10-11). 

 Seek to know more of Him in His divine nature, in His human relationship, in His finished work, in His death, in His resurrection, in His intercession for you, and in His future coming. Live near the Cross, and discover the mystery of His wounds. Increasing love for Jesus is one of the best tests of growth in grace. 

 “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Corinthians 3:18).
