“When you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall advance quickly” (2 Samuel 5:24)

Do you cooperate with what God is doing in the world? Christ told saints to never be complacent, but pray to God in every situation, “Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). Sometimes it’s hard to see how God is working, when Christian landmarks are being removed (Proverbs 23:9), and the ground gained by the blood of the martyrs is being reclaimed by Satan.

We live in evil times. It seems the Church is drifting with the tides of the world. Our sails hang limp and our rudder is useless as we drift toward the rocks. You think, “If only God would send a mighty wind as He did on the Day of Pentecost!” It’s then you remember God is within you. Don’t look to other Christians for your deliverance. You aren’t responsible for the condition of the Church, but you are responsible for your relationship with Christ.

Make sure your sail is ready to receive His Spirit. Don’t miss the gale for want of preparation for it. When you hear “the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees” He promised, “you shall advance quickly”. “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2). Now’s the time to “draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith” (Hebrews 10:22).
