“I have exalted one chosen from the people” (Psalms 89:19)

Why was Christ chosen to appear in the flesh? I was so He could be your brother. You can honestly say, "I have a Brother in heaven; I may be poor, but I have a Brother who is rich; I may be powerless, but I have a Brother who’s made a Way to Heaven for me!”. 

 Because Christ lived as a man, he was “in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin” (Hebrews 4:15), and since He’s also God, He’s the perfect Intercessor for you. “But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them” (Hebrews 7:24-25). 

 Because He’s “a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief” (Isaiah 53:3), He felt your temptation, pain, disappointment, weakness, weariness and poverty, and because He IS The Way, no matter how difficult and painful your road, it’s already marked with the footsteps of Christ. All the places you go, He’s already been. Take courage! Royal feet have left a blood-red track upon your road to Heaven.
