"Do as You have said” (2 Samuel 7:25).

God's promises were never meant to be ignored. He intended they should be believed and acted on. His Word is the currency of His Kingdom and nothing pleases Him more than to see His people “spend it”. Money does no good if it stays in your pocket, so “be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves” (James 1:22).

He loves when His children bring His Word to Him and say, "Lord, do as You promised". We glorify Him when we ask for things in faith. Will He be less pure is He washes your sins away? Will He be less holy if He gives His holiness to you? “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!" (Luke 11:13).

“‘Come now, and let us reason together,’ Says the Lord, ‘Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow” (Isaiah 1:18). Faith grabs hold of His promise, and doesn’t think, “I wonder if it’s true?". It goes straight to the throne and pleads, “Lord, here’s the promise, I believe You”.

When a Christian grasps a promise, if he doesn’t act on it, it dishonors God. Our Heavenly Banker delights to cash His own currency. Don’t leave His promises on the table. “The kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force” (Matthew 11:12). It’s God's nature to keep His promises “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:31-32).
