“There is laid up for me the crown of righteousness” (2 Timothy 4:8)

If you ever said, "I’m not good enough to get to Heaven”, you were right. Nobody is good enough. But if you said, “I’m not sure I’m saved”, let me ask you this. Has God changed your heart? Has He given you the Holy Spirit? Has He given you power over sin? Are you willing to do whatever He asks as long as you’re sure He asked it? Do you have the fruit of the Holy Spirit? “Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” (Galatians 5:22-26). If this is a description of you, you’re standing on Biblical ground to know you’re saved.

If someone asks you, "aren’t you afraid of dying?”, tell him, "No, there’s a crown in heaven which the angel Gabriel can’t wear; it will fit no head but mine. There’s a throne in heaven on which the Apostle Paul can’t sit; it was made for me, and I shall have it". Oh Christian, what a joyous thought! Your place is secure. If you’re a child of God, you shall not lose your place. It’s yours as surely as if you were in heaven already. No one else will have your inheritance, it’s reserved in heaven for you, and you’ll have it before long, for there shall be no vacant thrones in glory when all the chosen are gathered in.
