“I am the LORD, I do not change” (Malachi 3:6)

It’s essential for saints, with all the shifting standards of the world, to know, there’s One who doesn’t change. His Word stands for eternity, and His heart never changes for a very good reason: He knows everything before it happens, so nothing takes Him by surprise. In other words, He never has to go to “plan B”.

It’s especially important to obey His Word without the abomination of “cultural accommodation”. “No prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation” (2 Peter 1:20).

Have nothing to do with churches and ministries that don’t teach the unchanging Word of the unchanging God. “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,  speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron” (1 Timothy 4:1–2).

“There will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them … By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words” (2 Peter 2:1–3).

There are many warnings in Scripture to not listen to false teachers:

Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Corinthians 6:9–10).

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them” (Ephesians 5:6–7).

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap” (Galatians 6:7).

Do not be deceived: ‘Evil company corrupts good habits’” (1 Corinthians 15:33).

This is a serious business: “If anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:9).
