“His place of defense will be the fortress of rocks; Bread will be given him, his water will be sure” (Isaiah 33:16)

Do you doubt, Oh saint, that God will fulfil His promise to take care of you? Will His fortress not protect you? Will His storehouses fail you? Do you think your heavenly Father, who knows what you need, will cease to care for you?

If a sparrow doesn’t fall to the ground without your Father knowing it, and He numbers the hairs of your head, do you doubt His concern for your good? Perhaps your affliction will continue until you dare to trust Him, and only then it will end.

Many saints suffer trials until they’re driven by sheer desperation to trust God, and then, their faith becomes God’s instrument of deliverance. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Oh, I pray you won’t doubt Him any longer! Don’t make Satan happy, and hurt yourself by indulging any more low thoughts of God. Consider how shameful is your questioning God’s promise. Our God doesn’t deserve to be treated so; in the past, we proved Him to be true and faithful to his Word. It’s inexcusable that we still have doubts in our hearts.

Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope IS the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river,  And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit” (Jeremiah 17:7-8).
