“Faultless Before the presence of His glory” (Jude 24)

The Apostle Jude closes his letter with, “Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy” (Jude 24), sums up what saints can expect now, and in Heaven. 1) God is able to keep you from stumbling. “Stumbling” is what saints do when they sin. They don’t purposely stumble, but they do. When they stumble, they get up, repent and keep going. 2) Saints trust that they are legally faultless now because of what Christ did on their behalf, and will be presented faultless in Heaven, with no more stumbling.

The word, “faultless” helps us realize the goal. Christ never stops short of perfection in his work of love. Christ keeps perfecting us until He presents us to Himself, “that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish” (Ephesians 5:27).

Imagine being experientially perfect in the sight of God. His law not only will have no charge against us, but it will be magnified in us. Moreover, the work of the Holy Spirit within us will be complete. He will make us so holy, that we shall have no lingering tendency to sin.

Judgment, memory, and will - every power and passion shall be set free from the bondage of sin. We’ll be holy as God is holy, and in His presence we’ll dwell forever.
Saints will be as beautiful as Heaven. We will be made perfect to receive the full inheritance purchased by Christ. Sin is gone! Satan is shut out, temptation is past, and we’ll be faultless before God … this is Heaven! Let us be joyful now as we rehearse the song of eternal praise.
