“Man greatly loved” (Daniel 10:11)

As a saint, do you embrace the reality that you’re greatly loved of God? Has some sin or hardship or trial made you forget this? “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!” (1 John 3:1). Remember how you lived in sin, and rejected every overture of God. You must have been greatly beloved of God for Him to patiently bear with your rebellion.

God called you, led you to the Savior, adopted you as His child, and made you an heir of Heaven, proving His love. And since then, whether your path has been easy or hard, smooth, or full of trials, He’s continued to love you.

If the Lord has chastened you, it wasn’t in anger; if He’s made you poor, He’s made you rich in things that really matter. The more unworthy you feel, the more evidence you have of the love that led Christ to save you. The more you see yourself as worthless, the more you’ll be convinced of God’s love in choosing you to be made an heir of Heaven.

And now, if you comprehend God’s love, live in this revelation, and take advantage of your exalted position. Don’t hesitate to include Christ in the events of the day.

“He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:32). “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).
